We described our retro style products in one of our previous articles. This time we would like to write about an unconventional order that we have recently completed at the request of one of our good friends. He is a historian connected with the Jagiellonia Białystok football club. The idea was apparently simple: to create replica shirts of the club from the 1920s and 1930s on the basis of old black-and-white photographs. In practice, it turned out that the production technology and styles of these shirts are distinctly different from what is used today. Therefore, upon improvement of the visualisation of products by our graphic designers, we created special sewing patterns including, among others, a V-neck and an old-fashioned button placket. In order to adapt embroidered patches to the style of the replicas, we made use of some antiquation methods. We used thin cotton knit as the “base” for badges. Finishing stitches for badges were deliberately prepared with worse care. Small protruding threads suit this kind of product perfectly.
Below we present a photo gallery from the entire process – from the photographs that we used as patterns to graphic designs and photographs of ready shirts.
