In previous articles we have presented advantages of prints made with the use of screen printing technique. We always recommend that type of prints to you due to their numerous merits such as:
-wonderful durability of imprints,
-possibility of printing very complex and large-scale designs,
-possibility of printing on most knitted materials and fabrics,
-perfect colour reproduction,
-fast performance
–special effects achieved with the use of special paints
Screen printing is the oldest and the best printing method. PGwear Customs always recommends it to its clients. However, due to relatively high costs of preparation of the whole process in some cases other methods may turn out to be better solutions:
– Flexo prints – method of printing designs on special films, which are later on cut out and impressed into clothes.
– Flock prints – technique similar to flexo printing with the only difference being the film used –in flock printing it is covered with down, what makes imprint convex and nice to touch.
Advantages of the two methods named above are:
-fairly good durability of prints,
-reasonable costs in case of smaller orders,
-good colour covering power.
Unfortunately, both methods are not suitable for printing complex designs with tiny details and, moreover, the imprints made with these techniques should not be ironed.
Also digital techniques such as DTG printing become more and more popular. They require digital printers which allow for „full colour” imprints. A significant merit of that technique is possibility of overlaying complex designs in short time. However, we do not offer that solution as the quality of prints performed with it leaves much to be desired.
